one of the best Wx Radar sites in my opinion is here:

I've actually used it successfully to plan a dry commute home.
no login or etc like at the TV station radars...

hit the hwys / county overlays to help with relative locations

sometimes you have to click "stop looping", then "start looping " to get the thing to work.

there is also zoomed out views and other types of wx views.. The "Metro" view is most zoomed in.
