The Northwest Regional Championships are weekend-after-next - June 17 and 18
- at the rink at Oaks Park. It's inline speedskating competition almost
identical to short-track ice and just as entertaining and exciting.

Our season is wrapping up with this event and will start back up in
September. We have a one-hour class for beginners on Saturdays. The team
practices four times a week at the Oaks Park rink. As Steve mentioned, it's
a great cross-training sport for cycling, in addition to being a ton of fun.

Not to worry, This is totally ON TOPIC since speed skating is one of the
very best cross training activities for cyclists. So you see you have helped
all of us get a jump on our winter training. Maybe you have some info on
indoor speed skating that we might be able to join in on.

This Weeks Group Skate Class - Let's Get Started, Introduction to balancing,
edging, pressure application and forward motion
GROUP SKATE CLASS
WHAT: Group Skate Class 7:00PM
WHEN: Wednesday June 7th and every Wednesday Night unless notified or
weather permitting. ( Ground is dry, no threat of rain)

Do you just need to learn to stop? or are you ready to start skating
backwards, learn crossovers, alternate stopping skills, beginning or
advanced turning or latest dance moves. I will help you set your goals and
achieve them whether it is fitness or fun you are looking for. This is a
great opportunity to bring that friend, spouse or your parents and learn to
skate with an Internationally certified Instructor. It's also a great family
night activity, or girls/guys night out.
COST:
$30.00 per person Includes: 1hour lesson, Rental skates, Wrist, Knee and
Elbow Pads , (if you don't have your own) Purchase a 4-Pack of lessons for
only $100. You can also Receive a 5th lesson Free, if we have a group of 6
or more. so bring someone with you.

When you refer a friend that purchases a 4-Pack you receive one free lesson.
DON't FORGET: Please bring your helmet, wrist, knee, elbow pads and skates
w/brake to class.
If you need to borrow any gear please let me know in advance so I can have
