Yakima Products, based in Beaverton, Ore., is looking to hire a Dealer Sales
Rep (job posted 6/06/06)

Basically, this position involves working inside a cubicle, Monday -Friday,
answering phone calls and entering orders on a computer inventory/ordering
system, and also providing customer service and warranty service to Yakima
dealers. On a typical day, you will answer 50-100 phone calls, and you will
also be expected to make other outbound phone calls/sales calls during your
spare time.

There is some (very) limited travel to outdoor industry trade shows and
large sales events, maybe 1-2 trips per year. Occassional weekend and
overtime work required, but generally it is a 40-hour work week.

There is a contingent of avid cyclists & bike racers already working at
Yakima, so a being a committed bicyclist/bike commuter is a plus. There are
showers and lockers in the building.

The preferred candidate will have retail experience working in a bike shop
or other outdoor store. Added plus if the candidate have experience selling
and installing Yakima racks at retail.

Starting pay: $24,000/year (about $11.50/hour)
