2006 Specialized Allez Sport Triple, 54cm $600.00
Purchased in October, 2006 from River City in Portland. Ridden approx. 1,500
miles. All original components with the exception of an all-carbon
Specialized seat post (replaced the original carbon-wrapped aluminum post).
Rigorously maintained by River City.
Wonderful little bike, tight handling and a nice, stiff ride. This bike
stretches me out a little, which I really dig-- other bikes I tried
(LeMonds, Fujis, Giants, other stuff of that ilk) made me feel a bit more
cramped. I'm a 135lb., 5'8" female with a pretty even distribution between
legs and torso, if that gives you any indication of its fit.
Component goodness:
Tiagra STI shifers--- FlightDeck compatible
Tiagra front derailleur
105 rear derailleur
ALX400 rims w/ Specialized Mondo tires, 700x23-- tires probably should be
replaced soon.
Sugino crankset
Color: black
I put it on a bike scale recently and it was about 21lbs. That number won't
impress your neighborhood weight weenie, but its handling is so nimble I
doubt you'll care. Oh yeah, the original platform pedals broke somewhere
back, so you'll need to find some.
The frame is in great shape, but does have a couple of dings-- life is hard
on the road! You'd be amazed what black fingernail polish will do for this,
though. Seriously.
