Dear OBRA Members,
Anyone who would like to go for a fun, 45-mile road ride with Gary =
Klein, founder of Klein Bicycle Corporation, is invited to join us this =
Saturday, June 2.
When: 12 noon - 3 p.m., this Saturday, June 2
Where: ride starts & ends at the flagpole on the north side of =
Laurelhurst Park, 3800 SE Ankeny. The flagpole is just off Ankeny =
Street, between the green bathrooms and the duck pond.
Route: this will be a fun, 45-mile, mostly flat ride, going out to =
Sauvie's Island via NW Portland, then around the Sauvie's Island loop =
with a food/bathroom stop at the Wildlife viewing area parking lot w/ =
Porta Potty, then returning to Portland via the St. John's Bridge and =
Willamette Drive.
Host: River City Bicycles & yours truly (Curt Dewees)
Free snacks, water/Cytomax, sag support, and a prize raffle from River =
City Bicycles at the end of the ride. Plus, you get to ride with Gary =
Klein! (I've ridden with Gary before, and he's actually a very good, =
very fast rider. He used to race track 25 years ago, back when he was a =
student at MIT...)
