Track sessions will generally not be cancelled until shortly before the
start time. Often the weather will look rotten earlier in the day and/or it
will be pouring rain a short distance from the track but the track will be
dry at race time. Of course, the opposite also occurs. For racing sessions
you can call the velodrome phone, 503 246-0330, to check the conditions at
the track. There is no need to check earlier in the day as no one will
know. People often call me at my home to ask about the weather too. This
is not too useful as I live a 30 minute drive away.
