1) Frame #1" Black mountain bike frame 17 inch in size

Notes/details

** Frame #1 was going to be a commuter bike for my

wife. I bought it only to find it was way to big for

her. The paint was in pretty poor shape when I bought

it, so I stripped it down to metal, put 3 coats of

primer, 2 coats of automotive gloss black paint & a

coat of automotive clear coat over the top. This bike

would be a perfect commuter/rain bike.

*** Frame #2 was my old mountain bike/commuter that

was going to turn into a single speed project. At one

point it was "Novara - Ponderosa" in a dreadful

electric purple color, so I decided to repaint it

black. I stripped it down to metal, put 3 coats of

primer, 2 coats of automotive gloss black paint & a

coat of automotive clear coat over the top. The

surface of this frame is in a bit better shape then

frame #1 & the gold project 2 fork looks sweet against

the black. (plus you get a headset, stem & seat

binder/bolt). In the middle of painting, I got my

hands on another bike frameset and ended up using it

for my singlespeed. Would make a good mountain cross

bike.

Since frames 1 & 2 have been painted, they have not

been built up or ridden. Both still has some nicks

here and there that the paint can't cover, and the

paint job is not professional (but hey, that would set

you back $100+ each for just the paint!) but in my

opinion looks pretty darn good and I spent a lot of

care in researching & doing it correctly.
