If you didn't know, Marty Nothstein, 2000 Sidney Olympic Gold Medalist in

the Sprints will be competing at the Portland AVC at Alpenrose July

27,28,29 (Special thanks for Bike and Hike for sponsoring Marty's

visit) We have also invited Josiah Ng (Marty's main protagonist) to

attend. The racing should be spectatular- put it on your schedule. Jeremy

VanSchoonhoven, the new National Champions in trials will also be there to

entertain.

Our main focus, as has been in the past is to get spectators out - we have

had as many as 5000 people per session at the past events. One way we

advertise this event is to take out a 4 page program in the Willamette

Week. To pay for this program it is necessary to sell some ad space

(Here comes the sales pitch)

The cost of a business size ad is only $115. This goes out to tens of

thousands people so it is a cheap advertisement. To even make it a better

deal, for OBRA members only who take advantage of this offer I will reserve

VIP seating up in the viewing box (Nice seats, free food and beverages) for

any or all of the six sessions. What a deal!!

Okay so dig into your pockets, bring out a business card and a check for

$115. We need to have it all in by July 1st.
