Australian Pursuit Night

Come on out and get in on the fun of an Australian Pursuit
Tournament.

What is an Australian Pursuit?
Riders start at different points on the track at the same time.
If and when you are caught, you are "out" of the race and you exit the track on the next straight away.
When you catch someone, you pass them on the right and continue on trying to catch each of the remaining riders until there are two riders left. Those two riders will go to the next round.
Riders that are eliminated in the first round will go on to the loser's bracket and will have a chance to make it to the finals. This is a double elimination tourney and you are guaranteed three rides.
If there are not enough to form brackets we will do three separate Australian pursuit races with an omnium scoring format.
Preliminary races will last a max of eight laps with the finals going to a max of twenty laps. It does get dark at some point.
If we happen to get done early, we can form some teams for team pursuits and run them until dark if there is interest.
As always, please remember that this is JUNIORS and Masters racing.
Riders are expected to show good sportsmanship and provide
an example of proper behavior and racing etiquette at all times.
