I love the list, however sorry to announce that #4 Bento cart won't be included.
Unfortunately my operator is out of town. Next year we will do a better job
getting to all the races.

The Oregon District Criterium Championships are this Sunday, August 13th, 2006,
in Gresham, Oregon.

Top 10 Reasons to Race Sunday's OBRA District Crit

10. You have all fall to race your bike in circles and on the dirt at PIR.

9. How often do you say: Let's Go to Gresham!

8. This is the final weekend for criterium racing in Oregon until the 2007 Ice
Breaker.

7. Get your Custom Bicycle Love as provided by CyclePath and others generous
sponsors.

6. The course is pancake flat.

5. All you Cat 3s -- and this goes to both Men and Women -- who complained
about there not being a Cat 3 race owe it to Brian and I to come and prove you
are the best middle of the road crit racer in Oregon.

4. The bento cart needs to make a profit to continue coming to races and
selling bento to hungry racers.

3. Kiddie categories!

2. District championships. Shiney medals. State champ jerseys. 'Nuff said.

1. Partly sunny in the morning... Then mostly sunny. Highs around 85.

By that count add two more actually - the conclusion of the High Desert
Criterium Series (8-23) in Bend and the crit in the High Desert Omnium
(8-26).

I would add another reason to do the District Crit. Its a lot of fun ! It's simply an awesome course. There are Actual Corners ! imagine that, just a like an American Criterium is suppose to have.

Seriously its ball blasting through those corners, even if you don't stand a chance at winning, just sitting in, is a lot of fun.

I rode out to it from portland last year. Its not that far, about an hour or so... gives a perfect warm up. Its also not far from a MAX station.
