Get ready for tomorrow's final night of MTB Short Track madness at PIR!

Come find out what hundreds of Portland area bike racers have been raving about for the last five weeks!

The series finale is open to all riders, regardless whether you have raced any of the previous short track races. And every racer makes a chance of winning one of the 100+ awesome prizes we are giving away in our grand series raffle, which will take place the same night.

Here are some more updates you might want to check out:

1) Series Finale - Schedule
For a detailed schedule of Monday's series finale go to:
http://www.portlandracing.com/series-finale.html
Expect each race to start on time, as we don't want to run behind schedule (we like to be all done by 9pm). Also, if you plan to hang around for the awards and series raffle, it is probably a good idea to bring some warmer clothes. Our food station will provide racers the usual water, fruit and PB&J sandwiches, but feel free to bring some extra drinks/snacks to enjoy while hanging out. Please do not bring any beer or other alcoholic beverages, as they are strictly prohibited at PIR.

2) Results & Series Standings
The final results of race # 4 and the series stadings after 5 races are posted at:
http://www.portlandracing.com/results.html
Another reminder that the best 5 races out of 6 count towards the overall.

3) Short Track makes the Big O!
We received some great coverage in last Thursday's Oregonian, including a profile, interview and cover pic of junior short track MTB racer Marisa Reid. Check out the scanned version of the article that I posted on our main web page (http://www.portlandracing.com). Very cool!

4) Queen of the Night & other weekly prizes
Liz Parker has won our fifth Queen of the Night trophy. Her name was drawn among the 23 women who raced the series last Monday. Liz, who raced her first short track race at Skibowl and who has been a loyal racer in our series ever since, wins a $75 gift certificate, donated by our Women's Sponsor Bike 'N Hike! The names of the lucky winners of our other weekly prizes are posted at:
http://www.portlandracing.com/weekly-prizes.html

5) Important reminder: Wear your helmets!
Last week we received a complaint about a number of short track racers not wearing helmets on their way from the parking area to the infield. Please help us remind everyone - especially novice racers - that helmets are mandatory whenever riding your bike at PIR or at any OBRA race.

That's it. Hope to see you all tomorrow for a long, last evening of short track fun!
