There were lots of friendly people out on Sunday and some not so friendly. It is amazing at the ration of unhappy people compared to how many people you disrupt. Friday night had thousands of people disrupted from their daily routine and I think I heard one person complain. Saturday we disrupted maybe a hundred and I heard a half dozen or more people complain. Then on Sunday we probably disrupted twice as many as Saturday and I heard two people complain. And after the crash that ended up with a rider on the back of a pimped out Buick and putting a couple scratches on it, I thought there were going to be guns a blazing. I guess the more is disrupt more people and you will get less irate people because they don?t feel so special because there are others being disrupted. Or maybe you just don't hear them yelling over all the other noise.
Funny comment from Sunday was the lady that said when she used to ride bicycles she was clocked at 65 miles an hour one time. But that was when she was riding 15 miles a day.

It's easy for me to say since the women's fields are so small, but please please keep the state champs crit course ! This was my first time ever on it, in fact my first time ever on a real city-streets crit course and I loved it. I can't wait for next year. I was also amazed by how many of the people in neighborhood who were watching ( yes, you could usually them from the "ferengi" who were camping out on their lawns) seemed to like having this entertainment right at their front door.
How different in attitude from the guy down here who parked a manure spreaders across the road to block a race in progress...it happened down here at an OSU race a couple of years ago.
