Not that I have done it this year, but racing on the track improved my bike
handling skills immensely. After racing full tilt in mass start races with
no brakes and very little room to maneuver, riding a crit. seems pretty
straight forward from a technical aspect.

All this talk about the Gresham Course, the Health Net Crit course was a lot faster and harder than Gresham. Nothing like a downhill run at 40+ mph into a sharp left uphill corner on really bad roads :) Crawfish has that really fast corner at the bottom as well, but at least the road was smooth and pot hole free.

Crit's are fun to race, they are great for improving your bike handling skills in general.
