road safety video

It's okay David. I see you hadn't seen the details of the other posts. As I said, if I'd seen that video a week ago, I'd be laughing too.

Thanks,
John

Okay guys. I did realize that it was meant to be a joke. I guess having just witnessed such an awful act of disrespect for human life last Saturday, and seeing my friends' lives disrupted so completely for the foreseeable future by it, I just think the video is not appropriate in the context of recent discussions on this list. Last week I would have laughed along with you, but given it is today, it saddens me to see other cyclists joke about road safety right now.

Michael.Packard@CH2M.com wrote: Oh, lighten up. Sheesh.

I frankly found the video entertaining in what NOT to do on the road.
- Never saw a signal for a lane change - bad safety habit.
- Swerving between two semis - twice - not safe at all.
- Trying to outrun the cops, on a bike - not safe or smart.

I'm still laughing about it and do hope the cops eventually caught that bugger.

Thanks for the morning laugh, David !!! :)

David,

That video is not about road safety at all. It's rude of you to mislead everyone with your subject line. If your point is that some cyclists break the law, as do some motorists, then point taken. However, in light of recent discussions, your post is crass and tasteless.

Michael,
To be fair to John, your subject line was a little misleading.
Maybe you could have used CAT 3 FIELD SPRINT.
If there would have been more carnage, then CAT 4 FIELD SPRINT might be
appropriate.
And, if he would have sat up and turned himself in, then MASTERS FIELD
SPRINT would probably be best.
But thanks for the entertainment, anyway.
Ron
