Locales & Injuries

For the record, I only saw 3 people injured at the Bend Crit, included the
alluded to rider.

The road race was a different issue as there was a mass casualty incident at
the finish in the women's field. Fortunately only 2 significant injuries.

I only saw him from a little way off just before he was headed off to
the hospital. He was alert and talking fine but scraped up and clearly
had the collar bone problem on his right side.
The crash occurred on the far side of the course from were most people
were watching (including myself) but I heard no one else was involved.

I saw three other riders seeking medical attention for road rash - one
woman and two cat 3s. None of those appeared serious.

You blow us outta the water with the news and no details!? Yes, I realize
this is a rather stupid question, but is he alright? My best wishes to him,

Why you's alls are bitc*ing about venues, we're having a blast out here at the Bend Omnium!!

That said, there were a bunch of crashes while we were critting. I'm sad to say that one of our favorite Finnegan's guys crashed hard and broke his collar bone.
