"Wider courses, fewer if any "hole shots" or pinch points.?
If I wanted to road race I would go to PIR. If I wanted to race boring course I would race UCI or national cross races. Cross Crusade and Oregon cross racing is more than a just another cross race. It is an experience with fun obstacles, "hole shots" and pinch points. Cross races isn't just about skill it is about strategy. Be it the more skill you have the less strategy you need. I think if you were to change the course, to be wider, with fewer ?hole shots? and pinch points that you would then get less people. Then the whole Cat 1-4 vs A-C would be a moot point.
