Dear OBRA land:

I wanted to thank all the OBRA members who posted advice to me and my friend regarding the stolen bike. All of your information was extremely useful. I wanted to extend a special thanks to those law enforcement and legal council individuals who took the time to provide guidance.

Here is a little update for you all. My friend met up with the claimed owner. His story checks out and he plans to provide some basic proof of ownership. Which means, the seller, who is an OBRA member, likely posted a stolen bike (knowingly or not) on the OBRA list.

I am very disappointed with the situation. However, it is circumstances like this that really bring out the strength of the group, and really how many good people there are out there.
