Hello!
If you love biking and being around kids, please consider signing up
for a volunteer shift for one of BTA's Community Rides. We have a busy
season teaching our Bicycle Safety Education program at twelve
elementary schools and one middle school this fall. Kids learn how to
safely ride on the street through our ten-hour course that emphasizes
on-bike practice. The Community Ride is the last day of the program
and kids get to go on a longer bike ride through the neighborhood. We
need adults to help supervise a small group of kids within the larger
class ride.
All Community Rides fall during the school day, with most rides falling
on Fridays. Check out the schedule and school locations; if one or
more 'shifts' work for you, just let me know by phone or email.
Orientations will be provided prior to each shift. Please help spread
the word to others who might be interested.
