One more note from the administrative dept.
There has been some discussion about ccx categories, based on the new USAC
system and our own. We have chosen to keep the system that we have had in
the past in place and take into consideration any application for upgrade
based on the USAC system. In that vein, as we start the season it is
necessary to remind some riders of which category they should be in and the
definition of each category.
BEGINNERS- Have not done cross, or did beginners last year and finished in
the bottom 50% of the riders.
CAT C - Some CCX experience. OBRA or USAC cat 4/5, NORBA Beginner (Riders
may choose to race in a higher category)
Cat B - OBRA and/or USCF category 3, NORBA Sport and anyone else who choose
to race at this level
Cat A - OBRA and/or USCF categories 1,2, NORBA Expert and anyone else who
chooses to race at this level
The following riders finished in the top 5 or 10 of the category that they
rode in last year and need to step up to the next level.
