As many of you have noticed, there will be no kiddie 'cross races at this year's edition of the Hood River Cyclocross Classic. Our previous organizers are swamped with work and family obligations. As a parent myself, I know how important these events are, but we can only offer so much. We hope to be able to bring the events back next year. I hope those of you will bring your families anyway and enjoy all that Hood River has to offer. Most of the races are 45 minutes, and, hey, you don't really need to warm up anyway. As for that silly lining up 25 minutes before the event that has plagued 'cross for the past few years, well, don't get me started on that . . .

For those of you who have written with your concerns/interest about the kids' events, I'll keep your email addresses and maybe call on you next year for help!
