I was gratifying to see Seth's accomplishment, and to
reflect back on the green, Cat. 5 rider in a Molteni jersey whom
I met back in '98 at a ridiculous local race called the
Criterium de Hewlett-Packard. He got up to a 3-man break,
rode away from it, and won the race, to the protests of the
other riders in the break, who thought he was a lapped rider
(duh!) Ah, that's what we officials keep scoresheets for,
I guess. :-)

Seth joined our team the next year, and it is funny to
recall another team member who, having judged Seth's ambition
to be inadequate, declared that he would remain a "Cat. 4
forever."

Good job, Seth!
