Yesterday while riding a saw a squished squirrel on the road and my
first thought was that I did not want that to be my fate. With the
recent laws protecting school children and pedestrians, is there any
group or persons interested in seeking to toughen Oregon laws regarding
cyclists. As a BTA member I will contact them, but does anyone else
know of any efforts or interest in this?

While heading home last night, I passed by the intersection of West Union
and Shute Rd. An investigator for a PDX attorney was looking at the (recent)
crash scene. I spoke with them for a few minutes. All they could say was that
they had been hired by a person to investigate the scene for possible
action.

Needless to say, I dont think we have heard the last of this one just yet.
