For Sale: Vintage CANNONDALE 1985 Competition Road Bike, 55 cm

Bought in 1985 (one owner). $300. Good condition, clean and lubed, has not been ridden for a few years. Many of the components were replaced in 2000.

The 55 cm "Seasprite Green" aluminum frame has many paint chips but no dents, and of course, no rust.
Original steel fork.
Original Cinelli 64 handlebar "Giro d'Italia".
Original Cinelli quill stem.
Replacement Shimano 600 (Ultegra) headset.
Original Sugino seatpost.
Original Vetta "Moser" saddle.
Original Diacompe Royal Gran Compe 400 brakes & levers, black. The pads have plenty of life left.
Original Suntour Superbe Pro cranks, 170mm, with 52/42 chainrings.
Replacement Shimano bottom bracket.
Original Suntour friction shifters, mounted on the down tube.
Original Suntour Cyclone braze-on front derailleur.
Replacement Shimano 105 rear derailleur.
Replacement Suntour 7 speed 13-24 freewheel (the original was 6 cogs).
SRAM chain.
One pair of true Mavic MA40 clincher wheels w/Shimano 105 hubs and Shimano skewers (bought in 1986).
Tires will need to be replaced soon.

Replacement Performance Forte clipless pedals.
Custom installed SKS full fenders. (Need a rain bike?)

55 cm is the "Frame size" measured from the top of the top tube to the center of the bottom bracket along the seat tube.
31 1/2 inches (80 cm) from the top of the top tube to the floor.
21 3/4 in (55 cm) is the length of the top tube, from the center of the seat post to the center of the head tube.
