Candi Murray
A letter of praise to the ORBA team, and cross crusade organizers,
Having been away from the competitive cycling seine for years, it's been a
very welcomed experience this fall diving into this thing called cyclocross
with this Portland crowd and the incredible OBRA crew, and Cross Crusade
organizers. Everyone from registration thru to the race announcer and the
infamous beer RV, I am completely impressed with how everything is run and
organized, and the enthusiasm from all in what I'm sure is at times
stressful, great job. Being over in the Portland area these last several
weeks to spend as much time as possible with my wife's dad in hospice, the
cross crusade has provided a welcome diversion for my family and I. My kids
are loving it as well! A special thank you to the OBRA team and your
gracious accommodating of my number mix-up at Barton. Everyone from the
lady at the finish line (Candi?), to the kind lady in the yellow truck, to
the overworked gentleman (Mike?) scanning thru literally hundreds and
hundreds of lap photos, sorry to add yet another item to your plate, but a
sincerely thank you to each of you. USA cycling sure could learn some things
from Oregon's finest! The cross crusade organizers, you guys are all 1st
class! Thanks for the experiences! I've definitely got the cross bug real
bad now, thanks for providing the venues to enjoy it!
Sincerely,
John Limbaugh
(real age is 36, noticed I was 49 on the results, might make some of the
other masters feel better knowing that... :o)
(got back to the car and, well, my REAL number c390 sitting in my bag is
nice and clean still for the next event... :o) Thanks again for working
with my screw up, I threw away the no. 345 so that WON'T happen again...
Soon as I remember my password, I intend to post most of this one the forum
for all to see, so that they know what a heck of a great team they've got
working for them!
