Candi,
Regarding the donation line on the membership form, can we specify what
the donation goes to, or does it just all go into the same pot of money?
For example, if we specifically wanted to donate to support junior
racing, could the extra money be set aside for that purpose?
Just curious
Todd

Subject: [OBRA Chat] 2007 Membership
The 2007 membership application will be available online this week. The
downloadable hard copy form will be up on the website later this week.
There are a couple of changes to inform you of.
While the membership fees remain the same for the adult riders, we have
been forced to start charging a fee to cover the cost of race
numbers/plates for the juniors. Their fee is now $5.00 for an annual
membership.
Many of you contacted me about increasing our fees to cover the staff
that is required to replace me. The Board of Directors made the
decision to keep the fees the same to encourage participation. But we
have added a new line for those of you that continue to think that this
is too cheap. OBRA is a
501(c)3 and therefore entitled to accept tax deductible donations.
Please put your money where your mouth is ;-) and make your donations
toward the running of the organization.
The cloth road numbers are in production and will be available around
December 15th. As in the years past we will hold reserved numbers to
riders up until January 15 and then start handing numbers in numerical
order. Our plan for number distribution will be Cat 1/2 Men 100-199,
600-699 Women 200-299, 400-499 Cat 3 Men 300-399, 500-899 Juniors
900-999 Cat 4 Men 1000-1999 Cat 5 Men 2000-2599 Candi
