Just in time for Christmas...

I need to clean out my house and raise some money, so I'm putting my Trek 5500 on the block. It's "translucent red over carbon" in color. 56cm x 56c, equipped with DuraAce 9-speed gruppo. $1500 cash.

It has Rolf Sestriere wheels ( which have proven to be very strong and durable even with a 200+ pound rider) and Michelin "Erilium" Kevlar belted "fall tires" and a Cane Creek headset. The front wheel was totally rebuilt and the headset replaced about a year ago. It's equipped with a 12-23 cog set. It's not a "sprinter's bike" but wind up the RPM's and it will move. It's most at home on long climbs. This bike rides very well and is a real workhorse. Ask someone who rides one.

I'll throw in a mini-pump, a Cateye Wireless speedometer, a new in the box 9-speed chain, a New in the box Cinelli cork handlebar tape kit, and some spare parts for the front wheel. No pedals included.

I hate to sell this, but it's clear that my racing days are long gone and it's time to move on.
