Bicycle Transportation Alliance
Event Assistant
The Event Assistant will provide administrative assistance for the
Bicycle Transportation Alliance's annual Alice Awards Dinner and
Auction for two months, from roughly January 16 to March 15, 2007. The
Assistant will work with the Events and Outreach Director, Development
Director, Executive Director, and volunteers to organize the event. For

Salary
$9 to $12/hour depending on experience and qualifications. 40 hours per
week. As this is a short-term temporary position, we regret we cannot
offer benefits.
Job Duties
The Alice Assistant will be responsible for:
* Recording and tracking ticket sales in the BTA's database
* Recording auction donations in the BTA's database
* Tracking table sponsorships and seating arrangements
* Managing raffle ticket sales
* Attending the event on March 10 and assisting with set-up and clean-up
The Alice Assistant will also:
* Assist with event logistics
* Assist with soliciting donations for the silent auction
* Assist with soliciting ticket sales
* Assist with other administrative tasks, as needed
The Alice Assistant may also be responsible for processing regular
membership donations, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
* A love of special events
* Attention to detail
* Experience with donor solicitation
* Experience working with corporate donors and partners
* The ability to write clearly and fluently, manage many tasks at one
time, and meet deadlines
* Strong computer skills (Mac OS X, Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro)
* A sense of humor and the ability to work as a part of a team
