The Worst Day of the Year Ride is the unofficial start of the Portland bike
season. We're tempting the gods of nature and holding an 18-mile and 40-mile
ride through Portland on Sunday, February 11th. The ride begins at the Lucky
Lab in Southeast and finishes with a hot lunch of chili, soup and bread for
all participants.

The Worst Day of the Year Ride benefits the Community Cycling Center and
their bicycle safety programs. We need over 90 Volunteers to make this ride
a success for the 1500 participants. Volunteer positions include:
registration, safety ambassador, course marking, lunchtime duties, bike
parking, and MANY MORE! Many of the volunteer positions will allow you to
ride the event for free.

** NOT EVERY VOLUNTEER POSITION GETS TO RIDE THE EVENT. Please see the
website for details**
