Training Camp and Watch the Tour of California

Greetings OBRALAND:

The Tour of California is a month away. I'm planning a bike trip to Santa Barbara the week of February 18th. I'm looking forward to riding big miles without a balaclava, relaxing in a hot tub, and watching world class racing.

The weather in Santa Barbara is 64 degrees and sunny.

My riding buddies have conflicts, so I'm looking for sun-starved riders to join me. I'm racing Cat 3 and need to get some serious miles prior to the Banana Belt series that starts in 6 weeks. A friend of a teammate lives nearby and has volunteered to be our guide.

I've booked my flight and room. Direct flight from PDX to SB was $320. Depart Sunday, February 18th. Return Saturday, February 24th.
I have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western Santa Barbara. They're
$120/night for 2 Queen beds (doubling up is a good cost-cutting option--pro
teams do it:) Great location with a pool, hot tub, complimentary breakfast.
