*Why We Need Your Bike *
Since 1994, the Community Cycling Center has provided fully-outfitted
commuter bikes to over 1,500 low-income adults to help them get to work. In
response to community need, the CCC is ramping up our Create a Commuter
service. We want to create *100 new bike commuters* by the end of February,
and we need your help to do it. Our inventory of donated adult bikes (the
lifeblood of the CAC program) is slim and to meet our goal we need more
bikes.
*What We're Looking For *
We're looking for durable adult bikes that our mechanics can refurbish and
modify. Reliable brand names like Diamond Back, Trek, Raleigh, Bianchi,
Nishiki, Giant, Fuji make dependable rides for CAC participants. Bikes with
bent or broken frames aren't reusable. Big Box adult bikes like Magna,
Pacific, Huffy and Murray don't make good CAC bikes because they are
difficult to service and maintain.
*Drop off your bike today! - All donations are tax-deductible! ***
We accept donations during regular shop hours. An optional $5 processing
donation helps offset our costs of getting these bikes back out into the
community.
