cool down/extra laps Banana Belt

BUT... never EVER go across the finish line in the wrong direction or even
in the correct direction unless you are actually racing. On the camera a
racing rider and one going the wrong direction look just the same (except
that the backwards guy is a mirror image). Tonight we spent a lot of time
reviewing finish line photos sorting out racing riders, backwards riders,
tourists on bikes, etc.

It's hard to tell who is off the back or who is just doing extra laps so
maybe there aren't as many as I believe.

I think it would be kind that if you are doing extra laps after your race
that you go the opposite direction of the course. As a support car on the
course and a racer, I think it's a good idea for safety and for possible
interference with the ongoing race.

What was a problem also is that many riders finished and then went back to
check on who knows what and then rode across the finish line a 2nd time.
Every time a rider, or a walker goes in front of the camera it counts as a
finish. If you have to go back then please have the courtesy to ride behind
the truck.

I totally agree. At the finish of the 50+ race there were 3 racers moving
slowly on the course right at the finish line that not only impeded the
sprint, but could have created a dangerous situation had we not been alert.
