I'm going to be gluing some base tape ripped of off an old pair of

tubulars onto a good set of tubulars, good minus missing base tape.



Does the side of the base tape that is going to be glued onto the new

tubular have to be totally cleaned of the old glue that held it to its

previous tubular? If so, what is the best method for removing the glue?



I'm going to be using barge cement to glue the base tape onto the new

tire, if this is any help.



Has anyone glued base tape onto tubulars? Any advice on what to do and

what not to do?
