Sidi shoe repair

The monofilament line on the buckle of my Sidi Dragon 2 shoes broke while racing Sunday. The Sidi web site shows how to dismantle and repair the buckle but I can't seem to get it apart. I'm wondering if anyone might have experience fixing this issue.

I believe you're looking for this one:
http://list.obra.org/posts/obra/show/31820

In general, one can search the OBRA mailing list archives by entering something like this:

site:obra.org sidi lorica repair

Into Google (http://www.google.com).

Or maybe you want to find all those powdercoating emails - try this:

site:obra.org "powder coat"

Doesn't work on very recent messages through...

Enjoy!

A bit off topic but there used to be an athletic equipment cleaning
facility on Hawthorne, don't suppose anyone knows where that went.

Thanks very much.

Actually, they also are excellent at repairing cycling clothing,
panniers and other similar items.
