It depends on the category that's printed on your OBRA license. If you're a cat 1 or cat 2, you need a USCF license to race any race, masters or otherwise. If you're a cat 3 and want to race masters on a one-day license, fine. Make sense? -Martha

The official word from the USCF, the race promoter, and the chief referee is that cat 3, 4, and 5 riders can race with one-day licenses ($10); cat 1-2 riders must have regular USCF licenses. Be sure to bring your OBRA license to show your race category at registration.

Hey Everyone,

This Saturday, Team Group Health will be presenting the second annual Independence Valley Road Race in Rochester WA. We will be running the race on the same epic 19.5 mile loop as last year so if you missed the race last year you'll be able to experience all hype you heard about after last years race. This will be first race of the year that you'll be able to test your endurance over rolling hill, flat twisty farmland, and two short climbs. You can review all the race details at BikeCafe.net.

http://www.bikecafe.net/raceflyers/IndependenceValleyRoadRace07.pdf

For the second year in a row the Washington Cup Series selected Independence Valley Road Race as must for their 2007 calendar. We will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Carpooling is encourage, so load up your team and come enjoy an event that's becoming a Northwest Classic. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

Erik
