When you throw bottles into people?s front yards, it's litter - plain and simple. When the guy goes out to mow his lawn on Tuesday that's how he'll view it. He was already inconvenienced coming home from church on Sunday so we could have fun, let's not insult him by throwing garbage on his property.

These things happen. However, swearing at a 70 year old being held up by a course marshal while driving through HIS neighborhood is low class.

even though I did not make it up North and actually haven't raced this year
the last thought from Terry about a "little" respect. Might want to
rephrase that and give "A LOT" of respect for those that get inconvenienced
just so us weekend warriors might have an opportunity to ride and in such a
competitive manner.

If you lose the support of the neighborhoods that we race in/by, we will
lose venues for racing. Pretty soon we will be like my old digs in Colorado
and basically race Crits at business/industrial parks on the weekends, where
there is minimal if any traffic!

Keep up the racing all, maybe Shane will have photos of some great racing.
Hope all are doing fine considering the sounds of the injuries. Rest well,
recover well.

Wishing a fast and full recovery to the downed 3 riders. 2 things that i did see out there that are inexcusable are littering and swearing at the locals. Guys, we are not in the TDF. When you throw bottles into people?s front yards, it's litter - plain and simple. When the guy goes out to mow his lawn on Tuesday that's how he'll view it. He was already inconvenienced coming home from church on Sunday so we could have fun, let's not insult him by throwing garbage on his property.

The second was quite unfortunate. We came up on a pickup stopped in the middle of the road being held from turning left in front of on oncoming pack where the course doubles back on itself. These things happen. However, swearing at a 70 year old being held up by a course marshal while driving through HIS neighborhood is low class.

Keep in mind racing on these roads is a privilege not a right and that a little respect for the local residents is mandatory.
