Pablo, most places on the west side of Bend, on the road to Mt. Bachelor are
going to give you the most options. The City of Sisters also has nice trail
access to the National Forest right out of town, and has a few hotel
chioces. In Bend, more or less along Century Drive there is the Entrada
Lodge, Mt. Bachelor Village, Pine Ridge Inn, Inn of the Seventh Mountain,
and a Marriott of sorts. A bit farther, but still bikeable is the Old Mill
District on the river with an Ameritel Inn. From there you can easily
access the river trail and head south. Check out the Bend Parks and Rec.
Website for urban trail maps. www.bendparksandrec.org
Even downtown Bend is not that far from trailheads, but probably more than
you're looking for. The Central Oregon Trail Alliance COTA, has trail info
as well on their website. Also check the Deschutes National Forest website.
There could also be some private rental houses around. You can search on
"Bend Vacation Homes", Craigslist "Bend" and even maybe VRBO. I probably
forgot a few choices, but it's early and I need to get to work. Good luck.
