It's true that it's easy enough to set up a forum, and I know some
people like a more full-featured forum that the web archive we've got
going on.
On the other hand, some of us like individual email mailing lists,
too, and OBRA Chat is hardly the only discussion list that works this
way.
Another advantage of the current list is that includes all the
mailing list history back through the Topica days. It probably would
be difficult to move to a different forum sort of thing and maintain
an integrated history.
