Hi All,

The 2nd Deschutes River Valley Time Trial Festival is coming up April 28th and 29th in Maupin, Oregon. This is a 3 stage race, all stages are Time Trails. I have only heard very positive comments from last year's participants. I rode on many pieces of the courses this weekend, they are excellent (condition, terrain, and scenery) with little traffic! Three individual stages in Maupin, Oregon (Just south of The Dalles)



Stage One: Saturday April 28, 2007 9:00AM Start. Classic Loop N. of Maupin
Stage Two: Saturday April 28, 2007. 3:00 PM Start. South on Hwy 197
Stage Three: Sunday April 29, 2007. 9:00 AM Start. Bake Oven Road
All races stage at the Imperial River Company in Maupin, Oregon. Fees:
$55.00 if received by the Thursday April 26, 2007. $65.00 thereafter.
Tandem Teams are $75.00 pre-registration or $80.00 day of race.
(Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Registration opens at 6:30AM and closes at 8:30AM first morning only). OBRA license required, available at registration.Volunteer opportunities:
If you provide a volunteer for the entire event, you can earn a free entry into the stage race. Partial volunteers = partial discount.Registration is fun and easy!

Directions from Portland:
Take Hwy. 26 through the Mt. Hood National Forest to the Bear Springs/Maupin exit, Hwy 216. Follow Hwy 216, 45 minutes to the junction of Hwy 197. Take Hwy 197 to Maupin. Cross the Deschutes River Bridge. Turn left at the end of the bridge, then left again into the Imperial River Company, first driveway.Directions from The Dalles:
Off I-84 take Exit 87 to Hwy 197 to Maupin. Cross the Deschutes River Bridge. Turn left at the end of the bridge, then left again into the Imperial River Company, first driveway.Directions from Bend:
Take Hwy 97 north, through Madras. At the junction, follow the signs to Hwy 197 to Maupin. Stay to the right before crossing the Deschutes River Bridge. Turn left into the Imperial River Company, first driveway.
