A collegue of mine is in Singapore and also has had great luck with the Bike
Boutique. He's done mutli hour rides around the island. Here are a couple
more observations:

"Bring pedals, shoes, all other bike clothes/goodies you need unless you
want do some more shopping.

Bike came with tire repair kit, tube, basic tools, helmet, and water
bottles. SG$75/day for the high end bike, $50/day for the medium range
model."

Have had very pleasant experience on my current business trip to Singapore.
Happened apon Ben at his bike shop - The Bike Boutique. High end, mostly
road bikes. Rents A Cervelo 57cm on the side for $75 Sing / day. 9kg, 10
spd Ultegra. Funky carbon handle bar.
