Matthew Wolpert
Hello,
Thanks for reading. Hope to see some of you today at 3pm in Portland
or 4pm in Salem - to protect our state from, as former Republican
Governor Tom McCall famously put it "the wastrels of the land".

Subject: Fix Measure 37 - Attend a Crucial Hearing on Tuesday, April 17th
To: matthew.wolpert@gmail.com
Dear Matthew,
On Tuesday, April 17th in Hearing Room B of the Oregon State Capitol,
we should finally have a bill. This is it, the culmination of your
work of the last couple of years. But Oregon still needs your help.
To ensure that the Land Use Fairness committee doesn't back down from
bold reform, please join us on Tuesday afternoon and proudly display a
"Fix 37" sticker to committee members as they file into the hearing
room. Come show your support, and testify if you wish. Specific
language won't be available until Tuesday, but please urge committee
members to fix Measure 37.
Take immediate action to restore fairness and stability to our state
Allow one house for those who could have built one originally, but no
more without proving actual loss.
Prohibit subdivisions, and commercial and industrial development. If
the legislature enacts these key reforms, Oregonians will be protected
from the most harmful effects of this poorly conceived law.
Please join us in Salem at 4:00pm to sign up for the public hearing.
If you live in the Portland area, please join us at 3:00pm at 333 SE
2nd Ave., The Bus Project's Office, to join our carpools. This is
your chance to speak out for a solution that is fair to Oregonians and
protects the future of the state we are proud to call home. We hope
you will take the time to show up in Salem to let legislators see how
much Oregonians care about a fair future for our state.
This might be our last time to be heard before the committee. Now is
the time, please join us.
Sincerely,
The 1000 Friends of Oregon Team
