Brad and Hugh pulled off a good event. We all know Brad from his many
race promotions, but Hugh's fame goes back a ways: he created the Tree
Top Classic (Wenatchee, WA?), a great stage race in the late 20th
century. He moved to Oregon and promoted Tour de Vine, a master's stage
race near Yamhill. So this "De Ronde van oeste Portlandia" seems to
have captured the imagination of 100+ riders (I didn't do it for a
couple of "fixed-gear" no-nos: the absolute steepness of Brynwood and
College, not to mention descending the latter and Burnside. I did hear
tell of a fixed rider doing it (OBRA member? Care to talk about it?)).
Your video looks real professional...hope to see more!
