Here's the lowdown for the b.i.k.e. Fundraising ride this Sunday (Earth Day)
April 22nd:

A benefit for: Bicycles and Ideas For Kids Empowerment

When ?
12:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007 (Earth Day)Ride Starts
11:00 registration/sign-in
10:00 Volunteer check-in
Where ?
407 NW 16th Ave, Portland OR (Near Everett off ramp from I405)
What ?
A 20 mile social paced family friendly (with 12 mile sort version) ride through
diverse Portland neighborhoods, starting and finishing at Urban Wineworks.
Post ride festivities include complimentary fresh local organic food by Phresh catering
and others, live music by Trash Can Joe, and no-host wine and beer!
A silent auction to benefit b.i.k.e. will also follow the ride.
How ?
Sign up at ORBike.com if you just want to ride and enjoy the festivities ($20 adult
kids 7-14 $10, kids 6< free pre registration up to 9:00 PM April 21, $35 day
of ride for adults, kids price is the same), or e-mail me directly at gregobr@earthlink.net
if you want to volunteer to help before/during/after the ride and then you can ride
and enjoy the food for FREE.
You can also register in person for the ride, and tell your friends to register,
at River City Bicycles. Just ask at the counter and they have a b.i.k.e. Pinot
Pedal binder with all the info.

Why ?
b.i.k.e. is a beautiful and functional organization, dependent on fund raising events
like this to make ends meet and continue our mission of teaching and reinforcing life long values such as Benevolence, Good Form, Simplicity, and Team to under priviliged and disadvantaged children in the Portland community through bicycling and bicycle racing.
