Track part question

You really have to check for a couple of things.

One is the bb spindle length. If I remember correctly the Campy Pista bb
bracket spindle length is 111mm (symmetrical) while the Record triple is
111mm asymmetrical. So at first glance the Miche bb should have a 111mm
spindle length.

The other thing to check is the taper on the spindle itself. I think that
Campy uses a 2 degree taper with a starting cross-section dimension of
12.7mm while Shimano, etc. uses 12.9mm. I think the Miche bb is ISO square
taper so unless the Miche bb advertises itself as being Campy modern square
taper compatible I wouldn¹t use it.

I know that Phil Wood makes a compatible square taper bb for using on Campy
track cranks.

Good luck,

Conor

Does anyone know out there if I can use a Miche Primato Track Bottom
Bracket with a Campy pista (new) track crankset? Now I know the
Campy-philes out there will suggest I would be soiling such a fine piece
of campy componentry if I didn't use the campy record track bb, but the
miche is available and priced nicely.

thanks for any advice/input off line.

-Tim
