Hello OBRA,
I am excited to announce that the Cascade Cycling Classic presented by
Bend Memorial Clinic July 11th 15th, has a great race in store this
year with some exciting new changes. New for 2007 is the inclusion of a
Category 4 Mens field. It will encompass 3 days and 4 stages along with
the master 35/45+ and Category 3 mens races. Once again the masters
category will be split into a 35+ and a 45+ placing. The group will be
run together but scored separately. Up for grabs is one of the richest
masters prize lists on the West Coast! Also new this year will be an
added day for the Pro 1-3 women. They will now start on Wednesday July
11th with the Prineville Road Race and finish atop of epic Pilot Butte.
Finally a new longer, tougher, time trial is in store for all
categories. Sure to shake up the GC this 15-mile time trial will wind
riders up into the foothills of the Cascades.
Up for grabs is the richest prize purse in the entire Northwest with
nearly $40,000 in cash and prizes. Be sure to register early, as
categories will fill fast. Registration is currently open on Sports Base
Online. For registration and category information go to
