It may still be early in the season, but we've heard some rumblings from the
youngest of racers who are ready to rip up the track apron on Saturday, May
12, at Alpenrose Velodrome. They're ready to take on the Kiddie Kilo during
the second annual Eric Kautzky Memorial Track Race, a fund raising event for
the Eric Kautzky Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tigard High School. The Kiddie
Kilo will open the event at 10am. Splinter Wrenn will be our track announcer
(yes, Splinter will announce the rest of the races as well ;-)

River City Bicycles and Team Rose City are proud to be hosting the second
annual Eric Kautsky Memorial Track Race on May 12, 2007. Whether you're
racing or not, come join us for the first points races and omniums of the
track racing season, and help contribute to Eric's legacy as a science
teacher and athletic trainer at Tigard High School.

Eric was a Team Rose City team mate that lost his life tragically on
Saturday, June 18, 2005, while out on an early morning training ride on
Tualatin-Sherwood Road. The accused 19-yr old motorist was found guilty and
sentenced to 17 months in prison for negligent homicide. Eric was 56.

Prizes:

+ Nike 10//2 cycling apparel or other Nike stuff to the second and third
place omnium racers in each category

racers in each category

and three Nike Beaverton Employee Store guest shopping passes
+ Veloforma on-line raffle of an EK memorial road bike, with proceeds to
benefit the Eric Kautzky Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tigard High School.
The raffle will extend beyond the race, with the drawing to be held sometime
in June or July. Need not be present to win.

Massage!

Once again Danielle Machon, M'saj & Bodywork, will be on the infield under
the River City Bicycles tent to offer massages. She will have available 15
min massages for $10.
