Thanks for the coverage.
Not every one has access to OLN even though I do. So Baaa Humbug to the =
critics. All they have to do is not read it like tv just turn it off.
Great commentary!

The overall GC standings remained unchanged after today's mostly =
uneventful
Rest stage. Jan Ullrich did make one early attack by taking a =
mid-morning
power nap, but Lance Armstrong later countered with an early afternoon
snooze. However, the peloton ended up all back together in time for =
late
afternoon tea at a leisurely pace, though for a time Armstrong =
appeared to
be nodding off in a carbon fiber framed recliner made espeacially for =
this
deceivingly easy stage. Team Telekom didn't fall for it though, having =
been
the victim of Armstrong's ruse just 2 days prior on the way to L'Alpe
d'Huez, & the Telekom boys could be seen downing triple espressos.
=20
Said Ullrich: "Mein leggen ist kaput after yesterday's time trial, so =
ich
throwen downst eine nap attack to testen Armstrong. But he showen he =
ist der
ubber-sleeper too, ja? Ich thinkst of eine last strudel sneak attack =
mit
meine afternoon tea, but (team manager) Godefroot tells me on das =
radio to
wait till der Pyrenees."
=20
Armstrong: "I wasn't really surprised when Ullrich fell asleep after
breakfast. And I wasn't worried. I'd been training hard for months in
preperation for this by taking cat-naps on the sofa, or dozing off in =
the
team car. So I certainly didn't over extend myself when I countered =
him
later in the afternoon today. I was a wondering if any of the Spanish =
riders
might counter my snooze with a seista, but they seemed content to wait =
for
the Pyrenees & their home crowd. I'm ready for the remaining =
mountains."
=20
Carmichael: "We were closely monitoring Lance's "eyelid droop to =
heart rate
ratio" during today's stage and I have to tell you, this guy is =
amazing!
During training, we recorded a fairly wide range - several standard
deviations, in fact. But today, he was able to sustain the optimal =
ratio
consistently through the stage. His form is definitely peaking and =
history
tells us that he'll be able to carry it through the next rest day, =
even if
it is so close to this one.
=20
Meanwhile, this just in !... possible sighting of Simon sneaking out =
of the
back door of his hotel with his bike getting an early start to
Ax-les-Thermes in hopes of holding on to his lead.
=20
Pantani: "Tour de what?"
