Extra lap!

I have worked Mondays for years and managing multple fields safely is an
extreme task. Racers should always beware that changes can be made and there
cooperation is required for both results and more importantly safety. Not to
minimize anyones disapointment with a lower result due to a change in race
format, lets be real the most important question after last night is the
condition of our OBRA hurt in the crash. I am more than positve if you had a
great night last night it won't be your last so let the spirit of
sportsmanship guide you when get to excited over one lost moment and let us
all be thankful for the caring and hardworking people that make up the OBRA
family.

David, First of all to talk to me if I just started to ride/race a few day's ago and for the lap board it stated "1" to go and that's way we all sprinted for it. So ask the rider who did win the race on the first "last lap" and see how he feels or see when it will happen to you how you feel about paying for the race.. Also If the promoter of the race would take more time to educate the riders on how to race other than just setting up the tables and taking money, like they did in the pass we would hopefully see less emergency vehicles showing up to the race. Jeff Hass did for years and the team that promotes the race needed to ride with the lower CAT's to teach them on the correct riding techniques.

The officials can change laps and hot spots on a moments notice. Sorry that this stinks. There was a missed hotspot that we made up in the 4 field and we had to add a lap for the 1/2/3. This really made it confusing to some but Candi and Lisa yelled to the field that there was an extra lap. I know it's hard but it is the rider's responsibility to look at the lap board and pay attention to the officials. Especially when you see them leaning over the barrier yelling "2 to go" and waving thier hands.

Just because I say you have 18 laps and 3 hot spots at the start doesn't mean it's true..you could do more or less laps and the same goes for hot spots. We try to keep it fair to all.

BTW, if you don't hear a bell, the hot spot or finish don't exist for that lap. The bell rules.

The officials can change laps and hot spots on a moments notice. Sorry that
this stinks. There was a missed hotspot that we made up in the 4 field and
we had to add a lap for the 1/2/3. This really made it confusing to some
but Candi and Lisa yelled to the field that there was an extra lap. I know
it's hard but it is the rider's responsibility to look at the lap board and
pay attention to the officials. Especially when you see them leaning over
the barrier yelling "2 to go" and waving thier hands.

Just because I say you have 18 laps and 3 hot spots at the start doesn't
mean it's true..you could do more or less laps and the same goes for hot
spots. We try to keep it fair to all.

BTW, if you don't hear a bell, the hot spot or finish don't exist for that
lap. The bell rules.
