Then I stand corrected and I will climb back in my hole but my main point of
this was if it was the correct last lap we may have not the bad ending that
we did.

Danny,

As the rider in the Cat 1/2/3 who was off the front last night and "won" the race with a lap to go, I can say that it was unfortunate that another lap was added. However, as someone who has worked as an official at Monday PIR and many other OBRA events, I know the rules.

The bell does dictate the race and if the officials felt the need to change something in the race, then they were making the decision they felt was best at the time. So, it was unfortunate that I didn't win...but I think I will race again and it was a great workout. I'm more concerned about the people who went to the hospital than I am about an extra lap and being critical of the officials.

Monday PIR does provide mentors to the beginner fields and there were some there last night. If you are suggesting that riders in the Cat 1/2/3 field need a lesson on racing then you're saying something different and those riders shouldn't be racing.
