Speaking of "points series", what's happened to the

updating/tracking of the SOBE series points for the

last three races? I suppose having results from

Shotgun #1 race would help, even if they were lost or

destroyed an update would be appreciated by all who

race the series.

I just hope the series isn't on burnout mode. It's

been an exciting and fairly well organized series and

would love to see it continue even stronger.

Very Sincerely,

Steve

RE: Today's Race in Yreka (7/22/01)

Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how

IMPRESSED we were with the race today! You did an

oustanding job. Thank you to you and to all of your

volunteers.

We travel with the team (NAC out of Grants Pass) to

all of the OBRA points series races and several NORBA

national races. So, we have been around several

races! This was by far the most well organized and

run event in Oregon that we have attended yet this

year.

I HOPE OBRA ADDS THIS RACE TO THE POINTS SERIES NEXT

YEAR!!!! They really missed out this season by not

having it in the points!

Excellent kids race, great raffle prizes, good food,

nice setting, not too hot, good camping, great

people!!!!!!!!

Thanks again,

Danette McCann

Team NAC manager

Hi Cliff,

Thanks for your interest in the New Humbug. Yes the course will be marked

on Saturday, by noon. and no the beginners are now doing an easier and

safer course than the big 9 mile loop. The beginners are racing at 8am on

a course in the park that is 2.4 miles long. ( the sport on up will start

at 9am so that they do not merge with the beginners course which is the

last part of the sport - pro race course.) (also for the more experienced

beginner, they can ride the long 9 mile course as a beginner open)

a beginner will ride 4 laps , different age groups

a first timer will ride 3 lap, all one group

the kids course is a 3 mile mostly flat race that parents can chaperone,

because it does not start until all other race cats are done.
