Geri,

I don't see anything on the Legislatures schedule for this session about
that. see http://www.leg.state.or.us/bills_laws/ . Sounds like some crackpot
trying to stir things up, (and doing a good job, if you read all the
replies). Maybe someone from the BTA will chime in if there is anything
being proposed like that.

Anyone know anything about this sounds bad. I found it on Craigs List rants

"Essentially, you will need a valid bicycle license to ride. Not only that,
you need have a license for every bike you have, ride, and own. This is for
the ages of 16 and over.
Each serial number will need it's own license.
It will be half the price of a regular drivers license and regulated through
the DMV and have to be renewed each year.
All of the funds will be allocated for public schools only. This bill is
currently making it's way through the Oregon legislature and will be pushed
through by July 07. It will pass."
